The next stop on my Greek Island Honeymoon was the beautiful island of Milos. I will be honest, Milos was much quieter, but was pure magic. This island isn’t just another beach destination—it’s a slow dance of sunsets, secret coves, and volcanic beauty. Whether you're sailing into hidden caves or toasting under the stars, Milos offers honeymooners the dreamy Mediterranean glow they deserve.

Why Visit Milos?

  • Breathtaking Landscapes: From the moon-like white cliffs of Sarakiniko to the red-and-gold rock formations of Kleftiko, the island looks like it was sculpted by Aphrodite herself.

  • Colorful Fishing Villages: Explore Klima, Fyropatomous, and Mandrakia—adorable seaside spots where bright boathouses line the shores and cats nap in the sun. It’s all the cozy charm you need.

  • Beach Hopping by Boat: With over 70 beaches—many only accessible by sea—you’ll have no trouble finding your own private paradise.

  • Delicious Greek Cuisine: Share mezze, fresh seafood, and local wine as you dine under bougainvillea-covered terraces. Every bite tastes like vacation.

The Best Time to Visit

If you're looking for the warmest weather and the best beaches, the peak summer months of July and August are the best time to visit. However, If you're looking for milder weather and fewer crowds, the shoulder seasons of April to May and September to October are a good option.

Where to Stay: Volcano Luxury Suites

Tucked into the cliffs above Paliochori Beach, Volcano Luxury Suites is a honeymoon hideaway and where my wife and I stayed in Milos. Each suite features a private outdoor hot tub or plunge pool, overlooking the sparkling Aegean Sea and volcanic cliffs. The hotel's soothing design and attentive service create the perfect bubble for couples in love. The only downside is it is far from all the action on the island, so you should definitely rent a car or ATV.

Things to Do at Volcano Luxury Suites:

  • Soak in a Cliffside Hot Tub: Nothing says ā€œhoneymoonā€ like sipping local wine while soaking in your private jacuzzi, with waves crashing below and stars sparkling above.

  • Stroll Down to the Beach: The hotel offers direct access to Paliochori Beach, famous for its colorful sands and natural hot springs—just a few sandy steps from your door.

  • Indulge in Spa Treatments: Enjoy massages, body wraps, and volcanic mud facials at the wellness center designed to rejuvenate and pamper.

No matter what you choose to do, you're sure to have a memorable vacation if you stay at the Volcano Luxury Suites. You can stay at this gorgeous beach hotel for around $256 a night.
